After deciding to get married in Tuscany, I spent a lot of time on the internet searching for a wedding planner who could help us with the logistics of getting married in another country. Gillian’s prompt and informative responses made it an easy choice.

Throughout the planning process Gillian always responded to emails quickly and with the information I requested (this may sound obvious but you would be surprised at some of the responses I had from other planners). Gillian was always organised and made the legal and Religious paperwork side of the wedding as straight forward as possible. Other wedding planners had said it would not be possible for us to get married in a church, however this was not a problem for Gillian and she made the process a simple as possible.

When deciding on the wedding venue, Gillian was able to show us a range of beautiful locations that all fitted our requirements. When choosing the other elements of our wedding Gillian presented the range of options she could offer and allowed us to select what we wanted without trying to sell us anything we didn’t need, if fact she offered lots of advice on how to save money. The fact that Gillian does not do set ‘wedding packages’ made our wedding feel so much more personalised and unique to us.

All of the other professionals Gillian chooses to work with really are the best; I was so pleased with the lady who did my hair and makeup she really worked hard to make sure I looked my best on the day. The caterers were fantastic and all of the guests commented on how amazing the food was. I had given some general ideas about flowers and I was so pleased with them, particularly my bouquet. The photographer, I can’t say enough positive things about him, I hardly remember posing for any photographs throughout the day but he has managed to capture everything and in a really natural and beautiful way. Above all, there were no problems on the day, everything and everyone arrived on time and as planned.

It was only in the days after the wedding that I realised how much trust I had put in Gillian and how much stress she had taken out of everything. She dealt brilliantly with all of the requests and questions our guests had.

We are so pleased we chose Gillian as our wedding planner and would not hesitate recommending her to anyone thinking of getting married in Tuscany.
